In the event of an emergency, please follow the guidelines outlined below:

All emergency closings will be announced over the following:

Local radio stations:

WBUD - 1260 AM

WKXW-FM 101.5

TV: WPVI Channel 6

Bussing to and from SRS is provided by the Hamilton Township Public Schools System. As such, we follow the same emergency school closing guidelines as the public schools. Please listen to the radio or watch television and do not call the school, rectory, or convent when in doubt as to whether or not the school will be open.

The PTA operates a telephone relay system, whereby parents will be called if the school is to be dismissed before the regular time. Be sure the PTA has a correct phone number at which you can be reached during the day. Please do not call the school.  This ties up phone lines which are needed to call Room Parents and buses.

Every attempt will be made to contact parents through the Parent Emergency Phone Tree. However, if a student is sent home on a bus unexpectedly, a plan should be in place so that the student knows where he or she is supposed to go when they get off the bus.

If your child participates in the After School Program, he or she will be sent home with the rest of the student body.

Please be sure that your child's homeroom mother has the correct phone numbers where you can be reached. If your numbers (home and/or work) change, please inform the school and your child's room mother!

The following time schedule will be observed for delayed openings and/or early closing:

  • 1 hour delay: school starts at 9:15 AM
  • 2 hour delay: school starts at 10:15 AM
  • 1 session early closing: dismissal at 12:05 PM
  • 1 hour early closing: dismissal at 1:45 PM

Please note that for one or two hour delayed openings, the Before School Care program will begin one half hour before the rescheduled opening time.

PRE-K students follow the same policy as the school. If school is closed, so is the PRE-K. For early dismissals, parent will be called to pick up their children.
