Faith

Saint Raphael School is dedicated to excellence in education and to the spiritual development of youth within the framework of the Gospel and the tradition of the Catholic Church. At Saint Raphael School our purpose is to love and teach children as Jesus did, to guide them to a deepening of faith, and to enlighten and enrich their lives. Through the teaching of Catholic doctrines, experiences of worship, and opportunities to serve in the community, our students grow spiritually and morally.

In addition to religion classes, we teach our children the faith and instill our Catholic values in them through:

  • Daily Prayer
  • Student Sponsored weekly Mass and weekly visits to Adoration Chapel
  • Receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion (Gr. 2), & Confirmation (Gr. 8)
  • Reconciliation Service for Grades 3-8 throughout the school year.
  • Blessing of the Throats on the Feast of Saint Blasé
  • Living Stations of the Cross
  • May Crowning
  • Living Rosary
  • Legion of Mary
  • Participating as Altar Servers (Gr. 3-8)
  • Middle School Class Retreats
  • Community Outreach – Community Services such as the Parish Food Pantry and supporting other nonprofit organizations
  • Prayer Services on special occasions, i.e. the All Saints Parade and the Patriot Day Prayer
