Mr. Joseph H. Slavin III, Principal

“They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”

Mr. Slavin brings with him a passion for education and learning and uses God’s message to create an atmosphere where all stakeholders work together to influence school improvement. Mr. Slavin is a lifelong resident of Hamilton Township, graduating from Steinert High School and then obtaining a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education from Trenton State College. He was with the Hamilton Township School District for over 35 years as a teacher, Social Studies Supervisor, Vice-Principal, Principal, and Director of Administration. He has served as an interim administrator in Bordentown, Mt. Holly, West Windsor, Chesterfield, and Cherry Hill.

Mr. Slavin also mentors would be administrators for the NJ EXCEL program in Monroe, NJ. This nationally recognized leadership program allows educators to obtain an administrative certification. Mr. Slavin has mentored over a hundred candidates over the fourteen years in the program.

Mr. Slavin welcomes the opportunity to come to St. Raphael School. He looks forward to using his experience and blending it with God’s message to mold young Christian minds. He has an open-door policy and believes communication is the key to success.
