Principal's Welcome
Welcome to St. Raphael School!
I am proud to be a part of this wonderful community and to share my passion for education and learning. My mission is to create an atmosphere where everyone—students, parents, teachers, and staff—work together to foster a learning environment guided by God's message. As a lifelong resident of Hamilton Township, I bring my local roots and extensive experience in education to Saint Raphael School. I graduated from Steinert High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education from Trenton State College. Over the past 35 years, I have served in various roles within the Hamilton Township School District, including teacher, Social Studies Supervisor, Vice-Principal, Principal, and Director of Administration. Additionally, I have had the privilege of serving as an interim administrator in Bordentown, Mt. Holly, West Windsor, Chesterfield, and Cherry Hill. In addition to my administrative experience, I have a deep commitment to mentoring the next generation of school leaders. Through the NJ EXCEL program in Monroe, NJ—a nationally recognized leadership program—I have mentored over a hundred aspiring administrators, helping them achieve their certification over the past fourteen years. At Saint Raphael School, I am dedicated to blending my extensive experience with our faith-based mission to guide our students, faculty and staff. I believe in the power of open communication and maintain an open-door policy to ensure that everyone feels heard and supported. Together, we will continue to create a nurturing, dynamic, and faith-filled learning environment where every child can thrive. Our Saint Raphael family is a very special one and I look forward to a wonderful journey together. Blessings, Mr Joseph Slavin Principal |
